Grambling State University held its annual football Pro Day at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium on Thursday morning in front of scouts representing 21 teams from the National Football League.

This is tremendous opportunity for these young men and to get an opportunity to perform in front of these scouts is always good.”

Thirteen former Grambling State student athletes went through a two hour workout, including quarterback Devante Kincade, running back Martez Carter, offensive lineman Trent Scott, defensive back De’Aumante Johnson, defensive back Kendall Hill, defensive back Montrel Meander, defensive back Ja’Terious Pouncy and tight end/long snapper Bryce Williams. Among members of the 2015 and 2016 teams that participated in pro day were quarterback Jonathan Williams, wide receiver Verlan Hunter, defensive back Guy Stallworth, linebacker Arkez Cooper and defensive lineman Samuel Reese.

Scouts from 21 NFL teams Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins were on hand to observe as the players went through measurements, bench press, vertical and broad jumps, 40 meter dash, cone drills and position drills.
